KPMG's $450M Orlando Lakehouse Becomes AI Training Hub for New Workforce
KPMG has repurposed its $450 million Orlando Lakehouse campus, opened in January 2020, into a central training facility focused on generative AI for its workforce and interns. Firm leadership now describes the investment as a strategic "accelerant" for its AI pivot, following initial partner concerns over its cost and timing during the pandemic. The facility is a primary site for training new professionals, including a recent three-day session for 600 winter interns selected from 9,000 applicants. Training emphasizes new AI frameworks like "Think, Prompt, Check" (TPC) for tax work. KPMG is integrating AI tools like Microsoft Copilot and Google Gemini to automate repetitive tasks, aiming to free up employee time for higher-value advisory work.
