Apple (AAPL) is reportedly accelerating development of a 20th-anniversary iPhone, expected to launch in Fall 2026 alongside the iPhone 18 series, according to a Bloomberg report on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. The move aims to re-establish Apple's image for groundbreaking innovation. The commemorative model is rumored to feature a four-sided curved, bezel-less display, significantly increasing screen-to-body ratio and offering two sizes: 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch, succeeding the current Pro and Pro Max lines. This design is considered the most significant aesthetic overhaul since the iPhone X. Supply chain sources indicate this anniversary iPhone, along with the second-generation iPhone Fold 2 in 2027, will integrate the new A21 Pro processor. These chips will mark Apple's full transition to TSMC's 2-nanometer process, promising enhanced performance and efficiency. Apple's 2028 processor roadmap suggests an A22 Pro chip with a 1.4-nanometer process for the Fall 2028 flagship iPhone 19.
