Apple Inc. (AAPL) will reveal the largest Siri redesign in nearly 15 years at its Worldwide Developers Conference on June 8, 2026, as it races to close the gap in generative AI. The revamped assistant, a core piece of iOS 27, adds a chatbot mode akin to ChatGPT and integrates third-party models including Google Gemini, Bloomberg reported. The new Siri will sit permanently on the iPhone’s Dynamic Island as an “always-on” AI, accessible via a swipe-down interface for text or voice. It can parse personal context, analyze on-screen content, and execute cross-app tasks—such as drafting emails from messages and calendars. Apple is also embedding AI into the camera and photos apps, with natural-language editing and AI-generated scene extension. The features, expected to launch with the iPhone 18 in September, are seen as one of CEO Tim Cook’s final big product moves.
