JPMorgan said Apple (AAPL) iPhone 18 Pro lead times lengthened further in the second week of tracking, with the Pro series rising by an average of four days, signaling demand running ahead of the prior generation. Week-over-week, iPhone 18 Pro lead times increased 16 days, versus a nine-day gain for the iPhone 17 Pro a year earlier. iPhone 18 Pro Max lead times rose 11 days, compared with seven days for its predecessor. Both Pro models now match iPhone 17 levels from the same period in the US and Europe. China remains the only region below year-ago levels, though the gap is narrowing. JPMorgan noted the iPhone Duo does not open for preorder until Oct. 16, making the pace of lead-time deceleration in week three the next key data point. Supply chain responses to production plan adjustments, typically appearing around November, will offer a clearer demand signal, including whether consumers trade up to Pro models priced at $1,199 and above.
