AECOM Names Manav Kumar Chief Legal Officer, Succeeding Retiring David Gan

AECOM (NYSE: ACM) appointed Manav Kumar as chief legal officer effective Oct. 3, 2026, succeeding David Gan, who transitions to senior advisor and plans to retire in 2027, the contractor announced Sept. 16. Kumar, currently global head of public affairs and global general counsel, joined AECOM in 2017. He previously served as deputy counsel to Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and as the mayor's chief olympics officer during the city's successful bid for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. His prior AECOM roles include chief of staff for the office of the chairman and CEO and deputy general counsel. Kumar said he will focus on monitoring the regulatory landscape and digital technology trends, including artificial intelligence and data privacy. Gan spent two decades at AECOM, joining in 2006 as vice president and assistant general counsel, and strengthened the company's legal, governance and risk framework. CEO Troy Rudd credited Gan with supporting AECOM's most significant business initiatives.
