Zuckerberg, Huang, Amon to Join Trump-Xi State Dinner on Sept. 24

Meta Platforms Inc. CEO Mark Zuckerberg will attend a White House state dinner for Chinese President Xi Jinping on Sept. 24, 2026, joining Nvidia Corp. CEO Jensen Huang and Qualcomm Inc. CEO Cristiano Amon, according to a person familiar with the planning. OpenAI President Greg Brockman and CEO Sam Altman will also attend, the ChatGPT maker said Monday. Microsoft Corp. CEO Satya Nadella is expected, the person said. Amazon.com Inc. founder Jeff Bezos, Tesla Inc. CEO Elon Musk, Alphabet Inc. CEO Sundar Pichai and Apple Executive Chairman Tim Cook are also set to attend. The dinner convenes top technology executives amid an escalating debate over artificial intelligence regulation. Anthropic PBC CEO Dario Amodei last week called for an industrywide slowdown in AI development, citing risks including large-scale cyberattacks. The Trump administration has rejected new regulations, warning a US slowdown would benefit China. China criticized Amodei's remarks as "fearmongering."
