Advanced Micro Devices joined the trillion-dollar valuation club on Monday, September 21, 2026, as shares rose 9.4% to $612, capping a week that added roughly $200 billion to the chipmaker's market value. The California-based company reported second-quarter revenue of $11.5 billion, up 50% year over year, driven by a more than doubling of data centre revenue. AMD has announced ventures with OpenAI and Anthropic. In its early August results, AMD said it expects data centre sales to accelerate in the second half of 2026. AMD's valuation still trails rival Nvidia, whose market capitalization approaches $5.5 trillion.
