Investor research firm StockStory flagged three Russell 2000 constituents — ArcBest (NASDAQ: ARCB), Perma-Fix Environmental Services (NASDAQ: PESI) and MillerKnoll (NASDAQ: MLKN) — as stocks it would avoid, citing concerns over small-cap risk and company-specific fundamentals. ArcBest, a freight transportation company with a $2.63 billion market value, was cited at $118.31 a share and 21.2 times forward earnings. Perma-Fix, a hazardous-waste treatment provider valued at $204.2 million, traded at $11.05, implying 2.5 times forward sales. MillerKnoll, the office and home furnishings maker formed from the 2021 Herman Miller-Knoll merger, had a $1.06 billion market capitalization and traded at $15.57, or 8.4 times forward earnings. The report framed the three names as less attractive within the Russell 2000, where smaller companies can offer higher growth potential but often carry weaker financial flexibility than large-cap peers.
