Electrical systems stocks, including Atkore (NYSE:ATKR) and Powell Industries (NASDAQ:POWL), reported mostly satisfactory fiscal first-quarter results as aggregate revenues surpassed analyst consensus estimates by 3.4% for the period. However, forward-looking guidance from the group fell 1.3% below Wall Street expectations, reflecting caution amid economic uncertainty as of June 1, 2026. Atkore posted revenue of $731.4 million, a 4.2% year-over-year increase that exceeded estimates by 2.4%, driven by 5% organic volume growth. The company also delivered a significant beat on EBITDA and earnings per share forecasts. Its shares have risen 11.9% post-earnings to $82.43. Garrett Motion (NYSE:GTX) was the standout performer with a 58.9% stock surge after reporting $985 million in revenue, up 12.2% year-over-year and beating projections by 9.3%. Conversely, Whirlpool (NYSE:WHR) shares plunged 20.7% following a 9.6% revenue decline and full-year profit guidance that significantly missed estimates. Powell also disappointed, with a revenue miss of 0.8% and significant shortfalls in operating income and EBITDA projections, despite its stock edging up 4.3%.
