AstraZeneca Plc (AZN) said the European Commission approved Trixeo Aerosphere as a maintenance treatment for asthma in patients aged 12 and older whose condition is not adequately controlled with a medium-dose inhaled corticosteroid and a long-acting bronchodilator. The approval covers the triple-combination therapy's use in the European Union. Financial terms and pricing details were not disclosed. The decision expands the drug's label beyond its existing chronic obstructive pulmonary disease indications. AstraZeneca did not provide a launch timeline for the new asthma indication.
