BMO Renews AI Research Partnership With Vector Institute for Five Years

BMO Financial Group extended its artificial intelligence research partnership with the Vector Institute for five more years, the bank announced on May 28, 2026. The agreement will deepen collaboration on responsible AI and machine learning applications within financial services. The partnership, first launched in 2017, has driven work in natural language processing, risk modeling, and fraud detection. BMO will continue to fund Vector’s academic research programs and co-develop talent initiatives for AI deployment across banking operations. Financial terms were not disclosed.
