Bruker (BRKR), Waters (WAT) Top Q1 Views; Revvity (RVTY) Misses
Research tools and consumables stocks posted mixed first-quarter results, with Bruker (NASDAQ:BRKR) and Waters Corporation (NYSE:WAT) beating revenue and earnings forecasts, while Revvity (NYSE:RVTY) delivered a disappointing outlook. The subgroup collectively exceeded consensus revenue estimates by 1.4%, and next-quarter guidance matched expectations. Bruker reported revenue of $823.4 million, up 2.7% year-over-year and 3.4% above estimates, with earnings per share also surpassing projections. Its shares have surged 41.3% since the release to $53.71. Waters Corp. posted a 91.5% revenue jump to $1.27 billion, topping estimates by 5.3% and issuing above-consensus guidance; the stock rose 21.9% to $368. Conversely, Revvity’s revenue of $686.9 million missed estimates by 2.6%, and full-year guidance fell well short of expectations, yet shares still climbed 17% to $101.26. Agilent Technologies (NYSE:A) exceeded forecasts by 1.9% on $1.84 billion in revenue, while Thermo Fisher Scientific (NYSE:TMO) narrowly beat with $11.01 billion but saw organic revenue align with estimates, sending its stock down 5.4%.
