US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds attracted $593 million over Thursday and Friday, September 17-18, 2026, reversing earlier outflows and lifting the token above $81,000 for the first time in a fortnight. The inflows offset heavy withdrawals two days prior, producing a net weekly gain of just $6 million. Bitcoin rose more than 6% on Friday and reached as high as $82,078 on Monday in Singapore, a four-month high would require surpassing the $82,266 touched on September 4. The sentiment shift followed a brutal week that included the failure of a landmark US crypto bill and the Federal Reserve's first rate hike in over three years. A Thursday SEC approval allowing digital versions of securities to trade in the US improved conditions. Traders remain cautious as crude oil holds above $100 a barrel and Treasury yields stay elevated. BTSE COO Jeff Mei said no major catalysts are scheduled this week, though any hawkish or dovish Fed remarks could move markets.
