Strive CEO Says Bitcoin Market Cap Could Rise "Infinitely" if U.S. Debt Crisis Worsens
Strive CEO Matt Cole said on Bloomberg Television that Bitcoin's valuation is driven not by its 21 million supply cap but by a deteriorating U.S. dollar debt crisis, arguing the asset could gain "infinitely" if sovereign credit stress intensifies. He said money market funds cannot outpace 6% to 7% annual currency depreciation. Cole said long-end rate stability reflects Treasury Secretary Bessent's intervention, calling it a delay rather than a solution. He warned the 10-year Treasury yield could exceed 10% if the Fed and Treasury fully exit the bond market. Strive's SATA.US preferred stock, which pays daily dividends backed by Bitcoin, has outperformed Bitcoin by more than 100% this year, with an 18-month cash reserve extending operations to end-2027 without selling coins. SEC filings show Strive bought 1,355 Bitcoin at an average $79,475 between Sept. 14 and 18, 2026, raising holdings to 26,355. Cole projects Bitcoin could "easily" top $500,000 within four to five years.
