BrightView shares rise after Q1 revenue growth signals Land Maintenance rebound
BrightView Holdings (BV) shares rose to $13.03 after its fiscal first-quarter earnings update, up from $11.81 before the report, as investors responded to stronger revenue growth in its core Land Maintenance segment. Revenue increased 6%, supported by higher contract retention, an expanded sales force and above-average snowfall. CEO Dale Asplund said improved customer retention and faster sales force ramp-up are driving growth in net new sales. Operating margin declined, but management pointed to gains in employee retention and customer service as support for recurring contract momentum. Investors are expected to focus on whether sales force hiring continues to lift contract growth, how BrightView manages fuel price volatility and whether Development projects convert into recurring Maintenance contracts.
