France's CAC 40 Edges Up as Legrand Jumps 7% on Raised 2030 Targets
France's CAC 40 rose marginally Tuesday morning, gaining 10.57 points, or 0.13%, to 8,089.05, lifted by selective buying in industrial and technology shares despite elevated oil prices and bond yields. Legrand surged more than 7% after raising its 2030 targets, citing accelerated growth in data centers and the energy transition alongside improved profitability. Schneider Electric climbed nearly 3%, Bureau Veritas rose 2.3% and STMicroelectronics gained just over 2%. Brent crude front-month futures touched $107.87 a barrel before easing to $105.50, as stalled U.S.-Iran negotiations weighed on sentiment. France's long-term Treasury yield held near its highest level since mid-2008. Carrefour fell 17%, while Eiffage lost 3.1% and TotalEnergies shed 1.4%.
