Cracker Barrel Q4 Tops Estimates, CBRL Shares Jump 8.3% on Fiscal 2027 Outlook

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store reported fiscal fourth-quarter results on September 23 that beat Wall Street estimates, sending CBRL stock up 8.3% to $49.25. Adjusted earnings were 99 cents per diluted share for the quarter ended July 31, versus analyst projections of 26 cents, according to Barron's. Revenue slipped 2.2% year over year to $849.3 million, still clearing the $845 million consensus. GAAP net income rose to $12.2 million from $6.8 million a year earlier, while adjusted EBITDA reached $62.1 million, including a roughly $9.1 million net benefit from tariff refunds. Comparable restaurant sales fell 2.1%; retail sales rose 0.7%. It was the first report under CEO David Deno, who took the helm August 10. Cracker Barrel guided fiscal 2027 revenue to $3.325 billion-$3.4 billion, with comparable restaurant sales growth of 3%-5% and no new store openings, and declared a quarterly dividend of $0.25 per share.
