Cerebras Lands 100MW AI Inference Deal With Gimlet Labs, CS-4 Systems to Deploy 2027

Cerebras Systems (CBRS-US) announced Monday it will supply AI chips and hardware systems to cloud computing startup Gimlet Labs in a deployment totaling roughly 100MW, aimed at expanding AI inference services. Financial terms were not disclosed. Cerebras is expected to deliver its CS-4 systems, launched this summer, over the next one to two years. Gimlet plans to integrate the CS-4 into its cloud platform beginning in 2027, and will handle maintenance and operations of the equipment itself. Gimlet CEO Zain Asgar said faster inference can serve cybersecurity, voice services and financial analysis, with the compute capacity to be offered to AI-focused enterprises and startups. The company also intends to run frontier models on Cerebras systems. Cerebras CEO Andrew Feldman said the deal demonstrates the CS-4 can operate within heterogeneous computing environments alongside other vendors' chips, offering cloud operators greater deployment flexibility. The agreement follows Cerebras's earlier chip supply deal with OpenAI, as competition shifts from training compute toward faster, more adaptable inference.
