CDT Equity's Sarborg Files Quantum Computing IP for Drug Discovery; CDT Stock Falls 5.26%
CDT Equity (CDT) said on Sept. 29, 2026, that Sarborg Limited has filed new intellectual property applying quantum sampling to disease biology and drug discovery. The approach uses quantum computing to analyze networks of biological regulators controlling disease genes, aiming to identify drug targets that conventional methods may miss. The model was applied across 150 disease networks, including Crohn's disease, COPD and psoriasis. In COPD, identified genes showed roughly eightfold alignment with established drug targets, including CHRM3, the target of tiotropium. Sarborg said its quantum-enhanced sampler reproduced results with complete agreement against an exact ground truth and is designed to run on existing classical infrastructure while being quantum-hardware ready. CDT holds 1,290 Sarborg shares, or 22.7% of issued share capital. Sarborg is in talks with a leading global quantum computing company on a potential hardware partnership. CDT traded between $0.068 and $1,778.00 over the past year; shares recently traded at $1.79, down 5.26%.
