Costco Wholesale Corp. (COST) reported higher fiscal third-quarter net income on May 28, 2026, as rising membership fee revenue and resilient demand for groceries boosted results. Net income rose 11% to $1.62 billion, or $3.65 per share, from $1.46 billion, or $3.30 per share, a year earlier. Total revenue advanced 8% to $58.6 billion. Comparable-store sales, excluding fuel and currency swings, increased 6.5%, driven by a 9% jump in membership fee income to $1.12 billion. The fee lift followed a mid-2025 increase for U.S. and Canada members. Traffic growth remained robust in the food and sundries segment as consumers prioritized value. Costco shares gained 2% in extended trading.
