The foundation of Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and his wife, Lori, bought $108.3 million of computing time from CoreWeave and is donating it to universities and nonprofit research institutes, according to a May 12, 2026, filing. The resources will support science and artificial intelligence research. Nvidia said it also plans to provide free engineering services to some grant recipients. The donation adds another link between Nvidia and CoreWeave. Nvidia supplies the GPUs used by CoreWeave customers, invested $2 billion in the company in January 2026 and signed a $6.3 billion cloud-capacity agreement in 2025 that commits Nvidia to buy unsold capacity. Nvidia’s investments in AI firms and cloud providers have drawn investor scrutiny over potential circular financing.
