Circle, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin, and cross-border payments firm Nium said on June 1, 2026, they are linking their platforms to simplify transactions that use digital assets and advanced artificial intelligence. The integration aims to eliminate inefficiencies in so-called agentic AI payments, where automated software agents initiate transactions. The collaboration will allow Nium’s business clients to leverage Circle’s USDC for settlement, addressing complexities in global payments that combine AI-led workflows with crypto rails. Circle’s stablecoin, pegged to the U.S. dollar, is widely used in DeFi and traditional finance for instant, low-cost transfers. Neither company disclosed financial terms.
