Crypto Advocacy Group Endorses Senate Candidates After Clarity Act Fails
Stand With Crypto, the Coinbase-backed advocacy group, announced its first Senate endorsements on September 30, 2026, shifting its strategy from Capitol lobbying to electoral campaigns two weeks after the Clarity Act failed 49-50 in the Senate. The group endorsed Republican Jon Husted against crypto critic Sherrod Brown in Ohio, Republican Ashley Hinson in Iowa and Democrat Chris Pappas in New Hampshire, plus two House candidates. Fairshake PAC launched a $30 million campaign against Brown. Total crypto political spending this cycle approaches $200 million. Bitcoin traded flat at $83,900; ETH rose 1% to $2,705; SOL fell 2% to $118. Citi raised its year-end Bitcoin target to $113,000 and ETH to $3,028. Bitcoin ETFs saw $149 million in net outflows on September 30.
