Disney Raises Disney+ and Hulu Prices, Ad-Free Bundle Hits $21.99 Monthly

Disney is raising prices across its streaming services, lifting the ad-free Disney+ and Hulu bundle to $21.99 a month from $19.99, the company confirmed on September 23, 2026. Stand-alone ad-free plans each rise to $21.49 from $18.99, while ad-supported versions increase to $12.49 monthly. The move extends an industry-wide pattern of streaming price hikes. Peacock and Apple TV raised prices in August 2026, and Netflix did so earlier this year. Disney last implemented major increases roughly a year ago. Streaming now accounts for a growing share of Disney's business. In third-quarter 2026 results, entertainment streaming revenue from Disney+ and Hulu rose 11% to $5.5 billion, aided by subscriber growth and prior price increases. Disney has also reportedly explored a free Disney+ tier and recently launched a "Playlists" feature.
