Disney Raises Disney+ and Hulu Prices, Pushing Ad-Free Plans Above $20 Monthly

Disney is raising prices across several streaming tiers, lifting standalone ad-free Disney+ and Hulu plans to $21.49 per month, up $2.50, effective immediately for new subscribers. Existing subscribers will be notified on September 23, 2026, with higher rates applying next month based on billing cycles. The ad-free Disney+ and Hulu bundle rises $2 to $21.99 monthly. Ad-supported standalone plans increase $0.50 to $12.49 each, while the ad-supported bundle stays at $12.99 — meaning both services cost just 50 cents more bundled than a single streamer. The hikes position Disney+ Premium, which includes 4K streaming, below Netflix's $26.99 Premium tier and HBO Max's $22.99 plan, but above Paramount+'s $13.99 option. Disney reported Disney+/Hulu revenue rose 11% year over year to $5.53 billion in its fiscal third quarter. The increases precede a planned "one-app experience" rollout later this year.
