FedEx has placed a $300 million order for 2,000 electric medium-duty commercial trucks from EV startup Harbinger, the largest bulk order in the company's history. Harbinger, founded in 2022, plans to deliver all 2,000 vehicles by the end of 2027, it told TechCrunch. The order follows FedEx's leadership of a $160 million Series C funding round for Harbinger in late 2025. Harbinger has already delivered 53 trucks to FedEx under an earlier order placed alongside that raise. Harbinger's core product is a single electric medium-duty truck chassis, an approach that has brought the company into production and revenue within a few years. It has since expanded into hybrid emergency vehicles, acquired an autonomous driving company in February, and begun selling battery packs for energy storage. Axios reported in May that Harbinger is considering an IPO.
