Jana Partners Pressures Six Flags (FUN) to Pursue Sale Amid Widening Losses
Activist investor Jana Partners is urging Six Flags Entertainment's (FUN) board to explore a sale, according to The Wall Street Journal. The push follows disappointing results at the amusement park operator, which neither Six Flags nor Jana commented on. Six Flags reported a $203 million loss last month, widening from $100 million a year earlier, while revenue fell 9% to $864.92 million. Jana disclosed its campaign last October alongside investors including Travis Kelce. The company named John Reilly CEO in November and agreed in March to sell seven parks to EPR Properties (EPR) for $331 million. Six Flags shares were little changed in recent trading, down nearly 20% in 2026 and roughly 50% over the past 12 months.
