Genesis Energy (NYSE: GEL) reported first-quarter 2026 revenue of $446.6 million, up 12.1% from a year earlier and above Wall Street expectations, but posted a GAAP loss of 6 cents per share, missing consensus estimates. CEO Grant Sims said scheduled producer turnarounds and longer-than-expected maintenance at key Gulf of Mexico production hubs weighed on the Offshore Pipeline Transportation segment. Offshore revenue rose 40% year over year but remained below internal targets because of lower throughput and delayed activity. Management said growth for the rest of 2026 depends on new well tie-ins, including at the Monument and Shenandoah fields, along with stable marine operations and balance sheet actions such as refinancing and preferred security redemptions. Genesis shares recently traded at $16.35, little changed from $16.37 before the earnings release.
