GRAIL (GRAL) Unveils Positive PATHFINDER 2 Data for Galleri MCED Test at ASCO 2026

GRAIL Inc. (NASDAQ: GRAL) on Monday presented positive results from the PATHFINDER 2 study evaluating its Galleri multi-cancer early detection (MCED) test at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) annual meeting in Chicago. The data showed the blood-based test maintained high specificity and detected cancer signals across a broad range of tumor types, supporting its potential for routine screening. GRAIL reported that the study enrolled a diverse population and demonstrated a cancer signal detection rate consistent with earlier trials, with a false positive rate below 1%. Galleri screens for more than 50 cancers, many of which lack standard early detection methods. The PATHFINDER 2 results are expected to bolster GRAIL's commercial rollout and possibly influence future regulatory and reimbursement decisions. Shares of GRAIL, which spun off from Illumina in 2023, have been sensitive to clinical data updates.
