Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. (HPE) said Wednesday it secured a $1.2 billion order from cloud infrastructure provider Vultr to deploy AMD Helios AI Rack systems at U.S. data centers, the first order for the new platform. The AMD Helios system integrates rack-scale compute, scale-up networking and liquid cooling, targeting trillion-parameter model training and high-volume inference. The order builds on Vultr's prior collaboration with Juniper Networks, now part of HPE, and falls under HPE's AI Data Center Solutions portfolio developed with AMD. HPE shares rose 4.30 percent to $64.14 in Sept. 30 pre-market trading on the NYSE, after closing the prior session down 1.82 percent.
