HP (HPQ) Shares Surge 8.9% on Launch of NVIDIA-Powered AI PCs

HP Inc. (HPQ) shares climbed 8.9% on June 2, 2026, after the company unveiled a new line of NVIDIA RTX Spark-powered PCs and notebooks aimed at AI developers, creators, and gamers. The move extends momentum from last week’s fiscal second-quarter results, where revenue grew 9% year-over-year to $14.4 billion, beating estimates, and adjusted earnings per share reached 86 cents. Personal Systems revenue rose 13% to $10.2 billion, with AI PCs now comprising 44% of total shipments. HP projected that AI PCs could account for 60% to 70% of its shipment mix in fiscal 2027, and its current-quarter earnings guidance exceeded analyst projections. The stock is up 32.6% year-to-date and trades near its 52-week high of $29.35.
