NYSE Group and crypto exchange Blockchain.com signed a memorandum of understanding on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, to offer tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs through the NYSE's planned digital trading venue. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals and the venue has yet to launch. Blockchain.com, which reports more than 44 million confirmed accounts across over 70 jurisdictions, gains a pipeline to crypto-native investors. NYSE parent Intercontinental Exchange announced in January it is building the venue as a digital alternative trading system promising 24/7 trading and instant on-chain settlement. The pact also covers data: ICE Data Services will distribute Blockchain.com's crypto market data, while Blockchain.com adds certain NYSE and ICE feeds. The timing follows the SEC's "innovation exemption," unveiled last week, allowing qualifying venues to trade tokenized U.S. stocks on public blockchains without exchange registration, after the Clarity Act stalled in the Senate. Blockchain.com confidentially filed for a U.S. IPO in May. Coinbase launched tokenized stocks on Base in August. No launch date or financial terms were disclosed.
