Flanagan-White, Zipp Express Merge St. Louis Delivery Operations
Regional expedited delivery companies Flanagan-White and Zipp Express merged operations, combining platforms to expand their Midwest footprint. Financial terms were not disclosed. Flanagan-White, a St. Louis-based expedited carrier specializing in hazmat and specialized transportation for nearly 50 years, will give its customers access to Zipp Express's fleet of cargo vans, box trucks and heavy-duty tractor-trailers, plus a 50,000-square-foot warehouse in Earth City, Missouri. The transaction coincides with the retirement of Flanagan-White President Matt Carswell, who will join Zipp Express on an interim basis to facilitate the transition. Both companies are headquartered in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Zipp Express offers trucking, courier and final-mile delivery through scheduled routes; its sister company, Zipp Logistics, provides less-than-truckload services via regional carrier partnerships. The deal reflects ongoing consolidation among regional carriers seeking greater scale and service coverage.
