Fast Company Launches WhatsApp Community for Senior Working Mothers
Fast Company launched M-Suite, a private WhatsApp community and content series for U.S.-based mothers at director level or above, the publisher told Axios on Sept. 29, 2026. Membership is included with a Fast Company subscription. The community has 48 members after several beta launches and a waiting list, with the company expecting roughly 100 to 200 members by the end of 2026. M-Suite includes a private WhatsApp group, a weekly newsletter, editorial coverage and member events, alongside programming open to broader audiences such as panels at conferences like SXSW. Executive digital director Maia McCann said WhatsApp was chosen because many working mothers already use the app, avoiding the need to build a proprietary platform. The initiative follows a May 2026 Fast Company feature on senior-level mothers and a related Innovation Festival panel that generated about 500,000 views and more than 700 new followers. The move reflects publishers' broader push to convert search- and social-driven audiences into direct relationships. Fast Company is surveying members on 2027 gathering plans and may extend the model to other audience segments.
