Intel Corp. (INTC) fell for a third straight session on May 14, 2026, after UBS said the chipmaker lost server CPU market share in the first quarter to Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) and Arm Holdings (ARM), raising concerns over its position in AI server hardware. Intel shares closed down 3.6% at $115.93, though the stock remains up more than threefold in 2026. Arm rose 3.3%, while AMD gained 0.9%. UBS analyst Timothy Arcuri estimated Intel’s server CPU shipment share fell about 370 basis points to 54.9% in the first quarter. AMD’s share rose 230 basis points to 27.4%, while Arm gained 140 basis points to 17.7%. Global server CPU shipments increased 19% year over year. UBS expects the server CPU total addressable market to grow to $170 billion by 2030 from about $30 billion in 2025, driven by AI workloads. Arcuri projected Arm-based chips could reach 40% to 45% of server CPU shipments by 2030.
