Samsara Launches Free Driver Perks Program to Boost Fleet Retention

Samsara (NYSE: IOT) launched Driver Perks, a no-cost rewards program offering professional truck drivers discounts from more than 50 brands, expanding its platform beyond telematics into workforce retention. The program, announced during September's Driver Appreciation Month, is free to drivers and their employers. Partners include 24 Hour Fitness, Audible, Truck Parking Club, Pit Boss Grills and Better Sleep. Tens of thousands of drivers visited the perks site within weeks of launch, according to Kelly Soderlund, Samsara's Head of Insights. Driver surveys and a standing Driver Council shaped the category mix. Fitness memberships, audiobooks and travel ranked highest, signaling demand for off-road well-being and family time. Unexpected demand for portable grills drove the Pit Boss partnership. Samsara also ran the Driver Cup, scored on telematics data measuring safety, compliance and efficiency, recognizing the top 1% of drivers nationally. In-person award events were held at Tillamook in Oregon and Crum Trucking in Indiana, with recognition advertising placed in Times Square.
