Qatar Investment Authority, JPMorgan Ink $20 Billion Investment Partnership

Qatar Investment Authority and J.P. Morgan Asset Management signed a memorandum of understanding on Monday, September 21, 2026, establishing a $20 billion investment partnership across public and private markets. The agreement comprises a $15 billion public equities mandate, under which J.P. Morgan Asset Management will manage customized global equity portfolios for QIA, and a $5 billion private markets initiative to provide senior financing to U.S. middle-market companies in industrials, services, healthcare and technology. J.P. Morgan Asset Management reported $4.6 trillion in assets under management as of June 30, 2026. Parent JPMorgan Chase held $5.0 trillion in assets and $375 billion in stockholders' equity as of the same date. The deal extends QIA's push into financial and technology investments. The fund has signed a $25 billion tech partnership with Goldman Sachs and invested in AI company Anthropic, according to the Wall Street Journal.
