Shanghai Junshi Biosciences Co., Ltd. (JUN) said on May 27, 2026 that its neoadjuvant toripalimab plus chemotherapy regimen achieved a statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvement in event-free survival (EFS) versus chemotherapy alone in a Phase 3 trial for resectable stage II-III non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The combination met the study’s primary endpoint. The Neotorch trial enrolled patients with EGFR/ALK wild-type NSCLC. Toripalimab, an anti-PD-1 antibody, is already approved in China for other cancers. Junshi intends to discuss the data with global health authorities to support a supplemental marketing application. A positive outcome could open a significant market opportunity in early-stage lung cancer. Junshi’s shares trade on the Nasdaq.
