Berkshire Lifts Lennar Stake to 11% With $210M Purchase

Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.B) raised its stake in Lennar Corp. (LEN) to roughly 11%, buying nearly 1.7 million shares for about $210 million in a Form 4 filed with the SEC on Friday, September 25, 2026, after the close. The purchases were made September 23-25 at an average price of about $81 per share, bringing Berkshire's holdings to nearly 26 million shares. Earlier, Berkshire bought 2.6 million shares during September 17-21, pushing its stake past the 10% threshold and triggering a two-day reporting requirement. Berkshire has almost doubled its Lennar position since the end of the second quarter. Lennar shares rose 0.8% on Friday to $82.15 but remain down about 20% year-to-date, trading below book value of roughly $90 per share. Lennar's third-quarter earnings per share fell nearly 50% to $1.19. The homebuilder ranks third by market capitalization at about $200 billion.
