L3Harris Wins Over $6 Billion Lockheed Contract to Expand THAAD Propulsion Production

L3Harris Technologies Inc. (LHX) said September 29, 2026, it secured an undefinitized contract from Lockheed Martin Corp. (LMT) valued at more than $6 billion over seven years to expand propulsion production for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system. The deal covers construction of a new facility to increase manufacturing of THAAD Solid Rocket Boost Motors and expand capacity for the system's Liquid Divert and Attitude Control production. L3Harris said the award reflects its ability to deliver critical defense technologies at the scale and speed required by the Department of War. The contract value excludes escalations. LHX shares traded at $236.96, down 0.31 percent on the New York Stock Exchange.
