Larimar Therapeutics Appoints John Harlow President and COO, Effective September 29

Larimar Therapeutics Inc. (LRMR) named John Harlow as President and Chief Operating Officer, effective September 29, 2026. He reports to CEO Carole Ben-Maimon. Harlow brings more than 25 years of biopharmaceutical commercial and business development experience, most recently as Chief Commercial Officer at Esperion Therapeutics. He previously held the same title at Melinta Therapeutics and executive roles at Baudax Bio, Recro Pharma and Endo Pharmaceuticals. Larimar's lead candidate, Nomlabofusp, targets Friedreich's ataxia. The company submitted the first module of a rolling FDA Biologics License Application in June 2026, with remaining modules expected in the second half of 2026. For the second quarter of 2026, Larimar reported a net loss of $32.8 million, or $0.30 per share, versus a $26.2 million loss a year earlier. Cash and marketable securities totaled $156.3 million as of June 30, 2026, funding operations into the third quarter of 2027. LRMR closed September 29 at $3.14, down 0.95%, within a 52-week range of $2.72 to $6.42.
