SSI October Payment Arrives Oct. 1; November Check Moves to Oct. 30

Supplemental Security Income recipients will receive their October payment on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, with no early disbursement because the first falls on a weekday, according to the Social Security Administration's payment calendar. The November check, normally due Nov. 1, will be issued early on Friday, Oct. 30, 2026, because Nov. 1 falls on a Sunday. The January 2027 payment will similarly move to Thursday, Dec. 31, 2026, ahead of the New Year's Day holiday. Remaining 2026 payments are scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 1. About 7.3 million Americans receive monthly SSI benefits, and roughly one-third also collect Social Security. The program covers people 65 and older, the blind, and those with qualifying disabilities, including children. Working adults earning more than $2,073 monthly generally do not qualify.
