Medicus Pharma Narrows SkinJect Development to Gorlin Syndrome, Ends Sporadic BCC Program

Medicus Pharma Ltd. (MDCX) will focus future internally sponsored clinical development of its SkinJect treatment exclusively on patients with Gorlin syndrome and multiple basal cell carcinoma lesions, the company announced on Sept. 22, 2026. The decision ends further development of the program in sporadic and nodular BCC. The pivot concentrates remaining resources on a narrower patient population with multiple lesions, a group that may offer a more defined regulatory pathway than the broader sporadic BCC indication. Gorlin syndrome, also known as nevoid basal cell carcinoma syndrome, is a rare genetic disorder that causes patients to develop numerous BCC lesions over their lifetimes. Medicus Pharma did not disclose financial terms or a revised timeline for the redirected SkinJect program. Shares trade under the ticker MDCX.
