Meta (META) inks deal with Crusoe for 1.6 GW AI data center capacity
Meta Platforms Inc. (META) has secured approximately 1.6 gigawatts (GW) of artificial intelligence (AI) computing capacity through a new agreement with AI infrastructure company Crusoe. This move supports Meta's aggressive expansion of its AI capabilities. The capacity will come from Crusoe's data centers in Childress, Texas, and Warrenton, Missouri. The deal, reported on June 19, 2026, by Bloomberg, positions Meta to bolster its AI infrastructure, which includes a planned 5 GW data center campus in Louisiana. While financial terms and delivery timelines were not disclosed, Meta has committed to investing at least $600 billion in AI infrastructure over the next few years. Crusoe, which specializes in large-scale AI data center operations, also holds contracts with Oracle Corp. (ORCL), Microsoft Corp. (MSFT), and Alphabet Inc.'s (GOOGL) Google.
