Meta Platforms (META) is preparing its first entry into the European bond market, with a potential euro-denominated sale as early as autumn 2026, to fund AI infrastructure expansion. The company began a non-deal roadshow in early September 2026 to meet European credit investors. Meta has relied on dollar debt, completing a $25 billion six-tranche dollar bond in April 2026. Goldman Sachs estimates investors have supplied about $500 billion to AI-related firms this year, including roughly $200 billion for Amazon, Alphabet, Meta, Microsoft and Oracle, which face over $1 trillion in new debt in coming years. Alphabet, Amazon, Microsoft and Meta raised their 2026 capex guidance to a combined $745 billion. US big tech now accounts for nearly 10% of new euro non-financial corporate issuance, ECB data show, with about €40 billion outstanding. Meta’s move extends AI financing from US markets globally.
