StockStory favors Meta, LegalZoom, avoids eBay as internet stocks trail S&P 500

StockStory said investors should research Meta Platforms Inc. (NASDAQ:META) and LegalZoom.com Inc. (NASDAQ:LZ) further while avoiding eBay Inc. (NASDAQ:EBAY), citing relative business quality and valuation after consumer internet stocks fell 16.6% over the past six months, compared with a 7.9% gain for the S&P 500. The report listed eBay at $107.75 a share, with a $48.01 billion market capitalization and a 13.9 times forward EV/EBITDA multiple. It said the marketplace operator did not meet its investment criteria. Meta was cited as a preferred name, trading at $599.36 a share with a $1.52 trillion market capitalization and a 10.4 times forward EV/EBITDA multiple. LegalZoom was also highlighted, trading at $6.16 a share with a $1.05 billion market capitalization and a 4.5 times forward EV/EBITDA multiple.
