Microsoft EVP Ryan Roslansky to Exit by End of 2026 as Executive Turnover Mounts
Microsoft Executive Vice President Ryan Roslansky will leave the company at the end of 2026, CEO Satya Nadella said Thursday, October 1, 2026, marking the latest in a series of senior executive departures at the software giant. Roslansky, LinkedIn's CEO from 2020 until moving to oversee Microsoft 365 earlier this year, cited his family's ties to the San Francisco Bay Area, saying the role required being in Redmond full time. He will remain through December as an advisor to Nadella. His exit follows those of gaming chief Phil Spencer and Office executive Rajesh Jha earlier this year, while security head Charlie Bell stepped back into an individual contributor role. Roslansky's duties will be redistributed among existing leaders. Dan Shapero continues as LinkedIn CEO, reporting to Nadella. During Roslansky's six years leading LinkedIn, membership grew from 700 million to 1.3 billion; LinkedIn posted 11% revenue growth in Microsoft's most recent fiscal year.
