Microsoft to Invest Over $10 Billion in Middle East Cloud and AI Infrastructure by 2030

Microsoft (MSFT) plans to invest more than $10 billion across the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait by 2030, expanding cloud and AI infrastructure in the region, the company said on Sept. 27, 2026. The company will separately spend $400 million to build subsea cables and terrestrial networks in the Middle East, supporting cross-regional data transmission and cloud connectivity as demand for AI and data center capacity accelerates. Microsoft did not disclose per-country investment amounts, data center capacity or construction timelines. The $10 billion figure remains an aggregate plan; execution will depend on site selection, build scale, power demand and equipment procurement.
