Nebius Group (NBIS) acquired AI startup Inferize in a move to reduce idle GPU time and improve inference economics, the company announced in October 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed. Inferize, founded in January 2026, built technology to shrink the "idle GPU tax" — spare capacity kept running to meet service-level targets. The deal extends an acquisition spree that included Eigen AI and Clarifai and follows Q2 2026 revenue of $582.3 million, up 454% year over year, with AI cloud revenue of $574.9 million and more than $3 billion in annualized run rate. Nebius closed $5.75 billion in convertible notes on August 24, 2026, split between 2030 and 2034 maturities, and agreed to swap $800 million of older notes for about 15.8 million Class A shares, warning of potential selling pressure. NBIS trades at $233 versus an average analyst target of $290. Thirteen of 20 analysts rate it Strong Buy.
