Allianz, Seven Corners Lead 2026 Travel Insurance Rankings as Coverage Limits and Financial Strength Drive Scores

Allianz and Seven Corners topped a 2026 ranking of travel insurance providers published May 13, 2026, based on coverage limits, plan flexibility, financial strength and customer-facing policy transparency. WorldTrips received the highest AM Best Financial Strength Rating among reviewed providers at A++ (Superior), while Seven Corners, Travel Insured International and AXA Travel carried A+ (Superior) ratings. Travel Guard was rated A (Excellent). Travel Insured International stood out for high coverage limits, offering up to $500,000 in medical expense coverage and up to $1 million in emergency evacuation coverage. The review said travel insurance typically costs 4% to 10% of total trip costs, or $400 to $1,000 for a $10,000 trip. Policies may cover cancellations, interruptions, emergency medical costs, evacuation, delays, baggage losses and rental cars, though exclusions often apply. Honorable mentions included Travelex, Arch RoamRight, Generali Global Assistance, World Nomads, Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection and Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Solutions.
